He is considered one of the most important figures of the film industry. He rose to fame in the silent era, and Co-founded the distribution company (United Artists). He wrote, produced, directed, edited, and starred in most of his films! He was a man of great value and had lots of success. Film is so well respected in todays society because of honorable people like Charles Chaplin.
